No offense to the rubber ducky. It’s long held a place in our heart. But, the floating bird has been around so long it’s feeling a bit stale. Wouldn’t you agree?
Around here, we believe bath time should be fun. After all, what better way to make your kids excited to get clean? Below, we’ve outlined six ways to infuse bath time with fun.
Colored Ice Cubes
Fill your ice cube trays with water, as you normally would. Then, add a small drop of food coloring to each section. As your child gets into the bath, add the colored ice cubes to the tub. They’ll be able to chase them as they melt.
Glow-In-The-Dark Bath Time
There’s nothing quite like a glow-in-the-dark stick to spice up a moment. Pick up a few glow sticks from your local dollar store. Drop them in the tub and then turn down the lights. Your kids will start begging for bath time.
Shaving Cream Paint Sessions
Take painting to a whole new level with colored shaving cream. Add foam shaving cream to small containers. Stir in a drop or two of food coloring. Then, give your kid a clean paintbrush and let them explore their artistic side on the shower wall.
Combine getting clean and getting smart in one fun activity with ABC sponges. Simply cut extra large sponges into letters and add them to the bath. As your kid is playing, help them identify the letters.
Bath Time Puppet Show
Add a little drama to bath time with a bath time puppet show.
Have a kid who’s stubborn about getting clean? Play Simon Says. Throughout the course of the game, instruct them to dunk their head under the water, wash their hair, and scrub behind their ears.
